The old chain link fence in front of the parking lot has been removed and the theater’s construction next door has begun in earnest.

This means we may be limited on parking spaces on the east side of the lot for awhile.

Prairie Ridge Clinic is graciously letting us use their parking lot if we need it, as long as it is not during clinic hours which is usually 8-5 Mon – Fri.  So after 5:00 pm on Wednesdays and Sunday mornings for the service – there is space available to us there.

We are not sure how long the construction will take, but their grand opening is planned in the spring.

Sunday November 12th

Our Church will be hosting a Gymanfa Ganu (a Welsh Hymn Sing) here in Beaver Dam On November 12th at 2:30 PM… it is open to the community and it is an event you will not want to miss!!!

It will be followed by “Te Bach,” a Welsh tea time with cookies and sandwiches.

It is sponsored by the Welsh Gymanfa Ganu Association of Wisconsin

Not Quite There Yet…

FfurnaceActually, we are still having furnace problems.

The pilot light is fixed but there is not enough pressure to heat the sanctuary.

We had the Sunday service in the basement fellowship hall on Nov. 5th.   The furnace man is coming again on Monday Nov. 6.

Pray that we’ll have everything done in time for the Welsh Hymn Sing to be held here on  Sunday, November 12 at 2:30 PM.

This Wednesday & Sunday…

94f5fb3760d3d710e1267762adf45f7e--drawing-skills-funny-cartoonsIt doesn’t look feasible to repair the old furnace (56 years old)…. and we will not have heat in the sanctuary this week either Wednesday or Sunday.

However, the fellowship hall in the basement is holding enough heat in to keep it at 65 degrees. So on Wednesday evening… the Teens & Ladies’ Bible study room has a space heater in it, that should keep it comfortable.  Ginny is still going to have her Prophecy class at bookmark_sweaterlady5:00 pm and Val will have the Ladies Bible Study at 7:00 pm. We will still have the dinner at 6:00 pm but you might want to bring a sweater. I will also show a film, the testimony of Tony Dungy as planned.

As far as Sunday goes, we will see how the temperature holds out in the basement – but we won’t be having our usual service in the sanctuary. We will try to have a service in the fellowship hall… we will remove the praisekidz class dividers and set up some chairs.

Please pray with us as we try to get through this challenging transition. God is still good!
